Ricardo Calderón
Chief Executive Officer
Juan Carlos is a Senior Executive Director for Provicapital Partners. Prior to joining Provicapital Partners in 2011, Juan Carlos worked as Economic Consultant and Senior Finance Analyst in Ecuador. Juan Carlos has advised and closed several M&A and debt/equity raising transactions throughout the Americas with a strong focus in Latin and Central America.
Juan Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
Rachel Lucero
Sr. Executive Director & Partner
Rachel is a Senior Executive Director for Provicapital Partners, focused on the US and Canadian markets. She specializes in mid-market M&A advisory services, debt and equity capital raising, acquisition financing, and equities research. Prior to joining Provicapital Partners, Rachel worked at Deloitte, KPMG, BPI Capital, and UBS AG in a diverse range of industries and financial products internationally. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from De La Salle University, Manila and her Master of Science in Finance from Skema Business School, Paris.

Nicolás Ortiz
Executive Director
Nicolás is the Executive Director for Provicapital Partners. Prior to joining Provicapital, Nicolás worked as Investment Banking Analyst at Itaú BBA, Eurohold and Banco de Bogotá in Europe and LatAm. Nicolás has closed deals for more than US$ 950 MM
Nicolás holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and a Master of Science in Corporate Finance and Banking from EDHEC Business School.
Daniel Peñuela
Senior Associate
Daniel works as Investment Banking Senior Analyst at ProviCapital Partners. Prior to joining ProviCapital in 2022, Daniel worked as Investment Banking Analyst at Selfinver and in Corporate Loans at Itaú, Scotiabank Colpatria and Banco de Occidente.

Sebastián works as an Investment Banking Associate at Provicapital Partners. Prior to joining Provicapital in 2023, Sebastián worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at BBVA in in New York. Sebastián holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the Universidad de Navarra.

Jerónimo works as Investment Banking Associate at ProviCapital Partners. Prior to joining ProviCapital in 2021, Jerónimo worked as Financial Analyst and Trader at NZT Capital, Financial Planner at Skandia Mexico and Business Analyst at BlueDrop. Jerónimo has advised M&A, debt and project finance deals. He has closed deals for more than US$ 120 MM.

Alicia works as Legal Counsel at ProviCapital Partners. Prior to joining ProviCapital in 2018, Alicia was an independent legal advisor for almost 8 years.
Gabriel Ramírez
Country Manager & Partner
Gabriel retired in 2021 from BBVA Mexico as Deputy CEO of “Commercial, Government, Mortgage & Automotive Banking”, with more than 34 years of experience. He was member of the Top Management Commitee, Chairman of the BBVA Leasing Company, Board member of the Insurance Company and of the BBVA Foundation.
Gabriel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Systems Engineering, and Masters in Business Administration, in Finance, and in Positive Leadership from Tec de Monterrey. Also holds Executive Certifications in Marketing and Sales from The Kellog School of Management, in Corporate Management from IESE Business School, in Entrepreneurship from Babson College and in Innovation from The Wharton School.
